Inauguration solennelle et festive de la Neylière les 12 et 13 septembre /.../ Solemn and festive inauguration of La Neylière 12 and 13 September

Après trois ans de réflexion et l'obtention des autorisations nécessaires, avec la mobilisation des compétences, des moyens et le dévouement des équipes locales, les travaux de mise aux normes (accessibilité et sécurité) et d'hébergement confortable de la maison mariste de la Neylière se sont achevés à la rentrée de septembre 2015.

Les pères maristes de la Neylière, d'Europe et d'ailleurs et tous ceux qui ont oeuvré de près ou de loin, bénévoles des associations, personnels, amis se sont mobilisés encore une fois pour accueillir largement la famille mariste ce weekend dernier. Bravo et merci pour la solennité et l'accueil festif.

Nous avons été nombreux et divers à répondre à cette invitation : visites des lieux, échanges, convivialité et célébrations présidées par le Supérieur Général John Hannan et le cardinal Barbarin ont magnifiquement illustré ce nouveau départ plein d'esprérance pour ce centre spirituel et culturel mais qui reste avant tout une maison de famille où il fait bon vivre sous le regard de Marie et où l'on aime se retrouver entre amis maristes pour parler de la mission passée, présente et à venir.

After three years' reflection and the granting of the necessary approvals, the mobilisation of expertise and resources, and the devotion of the local teams, the upgrading work to meet required standards (accessibility and security) and to provide comfortable accommodation in the Marist house at La Neylière was completed at the beginning of September 2015.

The Marist Fathers at La Neylière, from Europe and elsewhere, together with all those who have been involved in one way or another, volunteers from the associations, staff and friends joined forces once again in order to extend a wide welcome to the Marist family this past weekend. Well done and thank you for the solemnity and the festive welcome.

There were many of us from all backgrounds who accepted the invitation. Tours of the buildings, discussions, conviviality and celebrations presided over by the General Superior, John Hannan, and Cardinal Barbarin illustrated magnificently this new departure, which is full of hope for this spiritual and cultural centre. La Neylière remains above all a family home, a wonderful place to live, watched over by Mary, where it is a pleasure to meet up with Marist friends to talk of the mission, past, present and future.
