Ein Zeichen gegen Waffen und Gewalt /.../ Un symbole contre les armes et la violence /.../ A symbol against weapons and violence

Das Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell blickt dank seiner Partnerschulen auf ein weit verzweigtes Netz von Schulen in Europa und weltweit, die von dieser Ordensgemeinschaft gegründet wurden.

Die Partnerschule Marist School in Atlanta/USA nahm am Samstag, den 24. März an einem Aktionstag in Washington D.C. für strengere Waffenkontrollgesetze in den Vereinigten Staaten teil. Die immer wieder sich ereignenden Vorfälle mit zahllosen Todesfällen und Verletzten, wie auch kürzlich in Maryland, mobilisieren zunehmend auch junge Menschen in Staaten, die für strengere Gesetze bzw. den vollkommenen Verzicht auf Waffen in Privathänden auf die Straße gehen.

Die Maristenschulen Europas solidarisieren sich mit dieser Aktion und nehmen symbolisch mit eigenen Aktionen, Projekten und Maßnahmen an dieser Protestbewegung teil. Auch das Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell setzte ein Zeichen für diese Bewegung und versammelte Hunderte von Schülern im Pausenhof, um so ihre Anteilnahme und Unterstützung zum Ausdruck zu bringen.

Grâce à ses écoles partenaires, le Maristengymnasium de Fürstenzell est membre d'un grand réseau d'établissements scolaires en Europe et dans le monde fondé par la Société de Marie.

Notre partenaire Marist School à Atlanta, aux USA, a participé à une journée d'action à Washington DC le samedi 24 mars pour protester contre les armes à feu aux États-Unis. Les incidents récurrents de tuerie et de blessures graves, comme récemment dans le Maryland, mobilisent de plus en plus les jeunes Américains qui descendent dans la rue pour exiger des lois plus strictes ou le renoncement complet aux armes à feu dans les maisons privées.

Les établissements éducatifs d'Europe sont solidaires de cette action et participent à ce mouvement de protestation chacun à sa façon. Le Maristengymnasium de Fürstenzell a fourni un symbole de cette solidarité en rassemblant des centaines d'élèves dans la cour de récréation pour exprimer leur sympathie et leur soutien.

Thanks to its partner schools, the Maristengymnasium in Fürstenzell is a part of a large network of schools in Europe and throughout the world founded by the Society of Mary.

Our partner Marist School in Atlanta, USA, took part in a day of action in Washington D.C. on Saturday March 24th in order to promote stricter gun control laws in the United States. Young Americans are increasingly reacting to the repeated incidents of multiple deaths and injuries, such as recently in Maryland, by taking to the streets in order to demand tighter laws or the complete prohibition of weapons in private hands.

The Marist schools in Europe are in solidarity with this action and are taking part in this protest movement in their own way. The Maristengymnasium provided a symbol for this movement by gathering hundreds of pupils in the playground in order to express their sympathy and support.
