90th anniversary preparations of SMC in Blackburn /.../ Les préparatifs du 90° anniversaire du SMC à Blackburn

St Mary's College will celebrate its 90th anniversary later this year. The College was founded in 1925 as a boys' Grammar School. It became a co-educational Sixth Form College in 1978. In order to mark the occasion, the College is planning a number of events, and it has teamed up with the education charity Future First in order to reconnect with its former students. The aim is that the College should be supported by a thriving, engaged alumni community.

St Mary's College à Blackburn fêtera sa 90° anniversaire plus tard dans l'année. St Mary's a été fondé en 1925 comme boys' Grammar School (école secondaire sélective pour garçons). En 1978, suivant une réorganisation locale, l'école a été transformée en un lycée mixte. Pour célébrer l'anniversaire, le lycée compte organiser un certain nombre d'événements et a fait équipe avec Future First (association philanthropique à finalité éducative) afin de pouvoir à nouveau établir le contact avec ses anciens élèves. Le but est de créer une association d'anciens élèves dynamique et engagée pour soutenir le lycée.
