Délégué de Tutelle

Comme convenu entre nous, Bruno Chanel mettra fin en août 2017 à sa délégation de tutelle qui lui a été confiée il y a 12 ans par le Provincial des Pères maristes de France.

Après un long temps de discernement mené en groupe de travail autour de Donald Lillistone, je suis heureux de vous annoncer la nomination de monsieur Vincent LANGLOIS (photo ci-dessous) au poste de délégué de tutelle à partir du 1er septembre 2017 pour les établissements scolaires français et comme membre de la commission européenne mariste sur l'éducation.

Monsieur Langlois est âgé de 53 ans, marié, 2 enfants. Il a une longue expérience de chef d'établissement. Il connaît les Maristes pour avoir été directeur du collège Notre-Dame de Bury et est resté depuis son départ de Bury en lien d'amitié avec le réseau mariste.

Pour cette année 2016-2017 Monsieur Langlois aura à terminer sa mission de chef d'établissement en Normandie. Périodiquement Vincent Langlois et Bruno Chanel se rencontreront. Monsieur Langlois sera présent partiellement à la réunion des chefs d'établissement coordonateurs européens en janvier 2017 et à la session de la Neylière en mars prochain.

En lui confiant cette mission, et dans la perspective des chapitres provincial et général, je vous assure de notre vigilance et de notre soutien pour la mission éducative mariste.

Dear Friends

It has been mutually agreed that, at the end of August 2017, Bruno Chanel will retire from the position entrusted to him 12 years ago by the Provincial of the Marist Fathers in France, the délégation de tutelle (trustee supervision) of the Marist schools in France.

After a lengthy recruitment process informed by a working group chaired by Donald Lillistone, I am pleased to inform you of the appointment of Mr Vincent LANGLOIS (photo above) to the post of délégué de tutelle (trustee delegate) and as a member of the European Marist education committee with effect from 1 September 2017.

Mr Langlois is 53, married, and has two children. He is a highly expreienced headteacher. He is familiar with the Marists, having been previously headteacher of the Notre-Dame de Bury secondary school, and, since leaving that post, he has remained in close contact with the Marist network.

Mr Langlois will remain headteacher of a school in Normandy until the end of this school year. In the course of the year, there will be meetings between Vincent Langlois and Bruno Chanel. In addition, Mr Langlois will be able to attend part of the European Heads of Centre meeting in January 2017 and also part of the Maristes en éducation conference at La Neylière next March.

In making this appointment, and in the context of the Provincial and General Chapters, I assure you of our continuing commitment to, and support for, the Marist educational mission.
