Concert de l'OSEME à Senlis

C'est avec enthousiasme que les premiers membres de l'Orchestre Symphonique des Établissements Maristes Européens (OSEME) se sont retrouvés dimanche 16 octobre à 8h sur le quai de la gare de Toulon. Les élèves et adultes musiciens du cours Fénelon et de l'Externat Saint Joseph ont répondu à l'invitation de Philippe Revello, chef d'établissement au lycée Saint-Vincent de Senlis dans l'Oise, pour donner une dimension nationale au projet né en 2015. Après une matinée de bac blanc français pour les premières surveillés par deux directeurs de cycle et culturelle pour les autres musiciens avec la visite de la ville, tous les élèves se sont rejoints dans la chapelle de l'établissement pour un après-midi de répétition. Ils ont ainsi pu faire la connaissance de 9 élèves de Senlis venus renforcer les pupitres de cordes et vents. Emmenés par le chef Yannick Dutey, enthousiaste et fédérateur le groupe a pu ainsi partager deux demi-journées de répétition avant le grand concert de mardi après-midi. C'est dans la chapelle de Saint-Vincent que les élèves musiciens des trois établissements ont présenté leur programme musical devant leurs camarades du lycée des Pères Maristes de Senlis. Emmenés par les solistes Marie Amélie Zanarelli à la flûte et Mahé Coquelet au hautbois, les élèves ont pu livrer une prestation de qualité récompensés par un bon goûter bien mérité. Cette expérience extrêmement riche en partage, en rencontres et en découvertes permet à chacun de rêver à la prochaine dimension européenne du projet.

It was with a sense of excitement that the original members of the European Marist Schools' Symphony Orchestra (OSEME) gathered on the platform at Toulon station at 8.00am on Sunday 16 October. The student and adult musicians from Cours Fénelon and the Externat Saint Joseph have responded to the invitation from Philippe Revello, the headteacher at the lycée Saint-Vincent in Senlis in the Oise, to give a national dimension to the project that was started in 2105. The Y12 students had a mock French exam in the morning, which was supervised by two programme directors, while the other students had a cultural visit of the town. In the afternoon, all of the students took part in the rehearsal in the school chapel. They were, accordingly, able to get to know the 9 students from Senlis who were joining the string and wind sections. The group, which was led by the conductor, Yannick Dutey, was enthusiastic and cohesive, and was able to benefit from two half-day rehearsals before the main concert on Tuesday afternoon. The concert was performed in the Saint-Vincent chapel, and the student musicians from the three schools presented their programme to an audience of their friends from the Marist Fathers' lycée in Senlis. Led by the soloists Marie Amélie Zanarelli on the flute and Mahé Coquelet on the oboe, the students provided a high quality performance that was rewarded with a well deserved meal. This was an extremely enriching experience, which helps us all to dream of taking the project to its next European level.
