Carmen Street : "Tempo occupato"

Il progetto che ci ha visto protagonisti quest’anno sta giungendo a compimento: molte sono state le cose fatte e con ampie soddisfazioni.

Innanzitutto lo “spazio compiti” ha visto un netto aumento di presenze e, data la possibilità di affiancare l’operatore già presente con una tirocinante preparata, che sta svolgendo l’”anno di volontariato sociale” attraverso la Caritas diocesana, c’è stata la possibilità di assistere tutti i ragazzi e le ragazze in modo ottimale. L’ambiente che si è creato è stato molto stimolante e ha permesso di alternare momenti di studio a momenti di riflessione e discussione su temi di grande interesse per gli utenti. Siamo riusciti a completare ed arricchire il materiale presente con libri di testo ed un computer portatile che ha permesso lo svolgimento di ricerche e richieste scolastiche.

Il bacino di utenza di questo servizio è di circa 30 ragazzi/e che frequentano i vari istituti superiori della città, dagli istituti professionale ai licei.

Il servizio in alcuni casi ha anche permesso di fare da ponte per una frequenza al c.a.g., in quanto molti ragazzi incuriositi dalle altre offerte del centro hanno poi cominciato a frequentarne le attività e gli spazi informali.

Lo sportello ha funzionato a pieno regime. Si contano in quest’annualità oltre 100 interventi individuali, di orientamento, di consulenza o di assistenza ed ascolto. Gli utenti interessati sono oltre 20 e, grazie all’informalità e alla destrutturazione della proposta, siamo riusciti ad avvicinare anche casi molto delicati.

In due occasioni abbiamo convinto gli utenti a chiedere aiuto ai servizi sociali o abbiamo attivato delle collaborazioni multidisciplinari per monitorare meglio le situazioni.

Il laboratorio di costruzione di un cortometraggio è stato estremamente interessante: si è scelto di lavorare con un piccolo gruppo, per non disperdere troppo le energie e riuscire a lavorare in modo più compatto. Le prime fasi sono state faticose, soprattutto perché la scrittura di un copione e la scelta delle inquadrature è lavoro molto teorico e richiede impegno. Si è fatta la scelta di utilizzare attori esterni al gruppo di lavoro, quindi i ragazzi hanno sperimentato anche la fase di casting e poi di istruzione degli attori scelti. La fase pratica è stata entusiasmante ed ora il film è concluso e verrà proiettato all’interno di una rassegna che proponiano anche alla città, nella sala cinematografica del Comune di Brescia (che si trova nei pressi del nostro Centro).

La rassegna cinematografica, infatti, è in fase di realizzazione, curata da un giovane del nostro Cag. Sono stati individuati i film e, in collaborazione con un cinema cittadino, sono state calendarizzate le serate in cui proiettare i film. L’obiettivo è di coinvolgere le persone residenti nel quartiere a venire al cinema. Le proiezioni saranno gratuite e sono stati scelti film provenienti da circuiti asiatici ed africani per favorire maggiormente l’accesso a persone di origine non italiana, che normalmente faticano a frequentare questo tipo di proposte.

Il laboratorio di fotografia è stato imperniato sull’autoritratto. Dopo una prima fase di studio dal punto di vista tecnico di inquadrature, soggetti e messa a fuoco, si è fornito ai ragazzi (circa una decina sono stati coinvolti nel progetto) una stanza vuota ed una macchina professionale, con il compito di rappresentarsi.

I risultati sono poi stati stampati ed è in programma l’esposizione della mostra fotografica in vari luoghi della città.

This year’s special project is drawing to a close. A great deal has been successfully achieved.

First of all, the "work space" has seen a sharp increase in attendance and, given the opportunity to increase our support with an additional trainee who is doing a "year of social volunteering" through the diocesan Caritas organisation, we have been able to respond fully to the young people’s needs. The working environment that was created has been very stimulating and has allowed us to alternate study time with time for reflection and discussion of topics of interest to the young people. We have succeeded in building up our resources with textbooks and a laptop computer that has enabled the youngsters to carry out research and meet school requirements.

The client group of this service is around 30 young people attending various secondary schools in the city, from vocational schools to sixth forms.

In some cases, the project also allowed a link to be made with the Youth Centre, as many of the youngsters became curious about what else was on offer at the centre and started to come along to the activities and informal spaces.

The reception desk was always busy. There have been over 100 individual interventions this year, involving guidance, counselling, support and advice. There are more than 20 users involved and, thanks to the informality and nature of the proposal, we have managed to approach very delicate cases.

Twice we persuaded clients to seek help from social services or to have multidisciplinary support to better monitor their situations.

The workshop on short film making was extremely interesting: we chose to work with a small group so as to be more effective and efficient. The first steps were demanding, especially because writing a script and choosing the camera angles is very theoretical work and requires commitment. It was decided to use actors from outside the work group, so the young people also had the experience of casting and directing the chosen actors. The practical phase was exciting. The film is now finished and will be screened at a film festival that will also be presented to the town in the Brescia municipal cinema, which is near our centre.

In fact, the film festival is currently being planned, and is being organised by a young man from our centre. Films have been selected and, in collaboration with a local cinema, the screenings of the films have been scheduled. The goal is to encourage people living in the neighbourhood to come to the cinema. The screenings will be free and films of Asian and African origin have been selected in order to appeal to non-Italian people who are often not interested in this kind of proposal.

The photography workshop focused on self-portraits. After a first phase of study from the technical point of view, subjects and focus, a room and professional equipment were provided for the youngsters (about ten were involved in the project) with the task of presenting themselves.

The results are printed and a photographic exhibition is planned in various locations in the town.

Le projet spécial de cette année tire à sa fin. Beaucoup de choses ont été accomplies.

Tout d'abord, beaucoup plus de jeunes ont profité de « l'espace de travail ». En plus, nous avons bénéficié d'un stagiaire supplémentaire qui fait une année du volontariat par l'intermédiaire de l'organisation Caritas du diocèse, ce qui nous a permis de répondre pleinement aux besoins de nos jeunes. Nous avons créé un environnement de travail stimulant où se succèdent les études, le temps de la réflexion et des débats sur des sujets qui intéressent les jeunes. Nous avons augmenté nos ressources et disposons maintenant d'un plus grand nombre de manuels scolaires et aussi d'un ordinateur portable dont les jeunes se servent pour réaliser des projets de recherche et pour répondre aux exigences scolaires.

Il y a une trentaine de jeunes qui bénéficient de ce service, collègiens et lycéens de plusieurs lycées et établissements d'enseignement professionnel de la commune.

Dans certains cas, un lien entre ce projet et le Centre des Jeunes a été créé, car un certain nombre des jeunes se sont demandé ce que le centre avait à offrir et ils ont commencé à participer à nos autres activités et à fréquenter nos espaces de l'enseignement non formel.

L'accueil était toujours très animé. Il y a eu plus de 100 interventions individuelles cette année dans le contexte des services de conseil et d'orientation . Nous avons plus de 20 clients et, grâce au caractère informel de notre projet, nous avons pu aborder des cas très délicats.

Deux fois nous sommes arrivés à persuader des clients de faire appel aux services sociaux ou de bénéficier d'un soutien multidisciplinaire pour mieux gérer leur situation.

L'atelier de cinéma (court-métrage) était très intéressant : nous avons pris la décision de travailler avec un petit group pour être plus efficaces et performants. Les premières étapes étaient éprouvantes, surtout parce que la rédaction d'un script est un travail technique, comme le choix des prises de vue, et nécessite un certain engagement. Nous avons également pris la décision de recruter des acteurs en dehors de notre groupe pour que nos jeunes aient l'occasion de la distribution des rôles et de la direction des acteurs. La phase pratique était passionnante. Le film est prêt maintenant et il sera présenté lors d'un festival de film au cinéma municipal de Brescia, qui est près de notre centre.

En fait, le festival de film est actuellement en cours de planification, et c'est un des jeunes de notre centre qui l'organise. Les films ont déjà été sélectionnés  et, en collaboration avec un cinéma local, les séances ont été programmées. Le but est d'encourager les habitants du quartier à venir au cinéma. Les séances seront gratuites et des films d'origine asiatique et africaine ont été spécialement choisis pour attirer les résidents non italiens qui ne s'intéressent pas souvent à ce genre de proposition.

L'atelier de photographie était axé sur des autoportraits. Après une première phase d'étude du point de vue technique sur les sujets et la mise au point, une salle spécialement équipée a été mise à la disposition d'une dizaine de jeunes. Leur tâche - se présenter. 

Les résultats sont imprimés et une exposition photographique est prévué dans plusieurs bâtiments de la ville.
