Bravo !
A big thank you to Marc Bouchacourt for sending me the newspaper article above, the text of which reads:
120 metres of Christmas logs sold to support sick children
Last Wednesday, in the rain, the inhabitants of Lyon responded to the challenge set by Fabrice Bonnot and his association "Envie d'un sourire": to bake and sell Christmas logs in order to fund a telepresence robot for sick children in the Léon-Bérard Centre.
In the Place de la République, and with Geneviève de Fontenay as sponsor, the event had the support of volunteers already working for "Soupe en scène" (a Lyon charity working for the homeless) and of 30 students from Sainte-Marie Lyon. It was in the kitchens of the school that it took five hours to mix 40 kg of flour, 35 kg of chocolate, 35 litres of cream and 20 kg of raspberries, With the additional help of 2,200 euros donated by the fishing club "Carpe Haute Tension", the robot will now be purchased.
"A worthy cause, in which the tasty helps the charitable. A wonderful Christmas present for these children" commented Anna Varon, who had happily come down from her neighbouring office.
Well done!
