Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista/Marymount

È iniziata a settembre la convivenza presso l’Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista di due scuole cattoliche: il Liceo Sportivo-Scientifico ISGE e il Liceo Classico-Scientifico bilingue MARYMOUNT.

All’ingresso dell’edificio, due targhe dicono che le due scuole cattoliche convivono nello stesso edificio.

Il Liceo Sportivo e Scientifico ISGE concluderà nei prossimi quattro anni il suo ciclo di studi, mentre il Liceo Classico-Scientifico bilingue MARYMOUNT ha iniziato il suo ciclo da questo anno.

Fin dai primi giorni, le due scuole cattoliche hanno collaborato per conoscersi e rendere la convivenza più ricca di opportunità per entrambe le scuole. La preside dell’ISGE è andata nelle classi della Scuola Marymount per dare il benvenuto agli alunni e il preside del Marymount è andato nelle classi per presentarsi e conoscere i ragazzi e le ragazze dell’ISGE.

Le due scuole stanno interagendo con iniziative comuni di carattere religioso, scolastico e sociale.

Il 26 settembre è stata celebrata la Santa Messa di inizio anno alla quale hanno partecipato, insieme, gli alunni, gli insegnanti e i genitori del Marymount e dell’ISGE. La Santa Messa è stata celebrata per tutti dal padre marista Antonio Airò.

P. Antonio Airò ha poi curato, sempre con gli alunni di entrambe le scuole, le riflessioni sull’Avvento che si sono concluse, per tutta la comunità scolastica, martedì 19 dicembre, con la Messa di Natale.

Nella cappella dell’Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista, si sono ritrovati, in un clima di festa, gli alunni, i genitori e gli insegnanti delle due scuole.

Insieme, gli alunni hanno espresso le preghiere dei fedeli.

Le letture della liturgia della Parola sono state effettuate da due insegnanti, uno per ogni scuola.

Le due scuole stanno interagendo non solo con iniziative comuni di carattere religioso, ma anche di carattere scolastico e sociale.

Un incontro-dibattito sul tema del bullismo si è svolto il 9 novembre nell’aula magna dell’ISGE con il vice presidente della Regione Lazio, Massimiliano Valeriani.

Un altro giorno è venuto a trovare le due scuole un famoso arbitro di serie A, Paolo Valeri, e i ragazzi sono stati entusiasti e pieni di domande.

Il 5 dicembre scorso, poi, è stato realizzato un incontro molto importante con Alberto Mieli, un uomo sopravvissuto ai lager nazista. Gli alunni hanno ascoltato con vivissimo interesse la sua storia e hanno fatto tante domande. È stato un incontro molto commovente e istruttivo.

Gli insegnanti di educazione fisica dell’ISGE e del MARYMOUNT stanno organizzando dei tornei sportivi fra le due scuole.

“TO  CREATE  UNITY  THROUGH  DIVERSITY” non è, insomma, solo uno slogan, ma è un vero e proprio programma di crescita umana, civile e cristiana che le due scuole si stanno proponendo di svolgere a cominciare da questo anno scolastico.

È un percorso ricco di sfide, di occasioni, di opportunità.

C'est en septembre 2017 qu'a commencé la cohabitation à l'Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista de deux établissements scolaires catholiques - le Liceo ISGE, spécialisé dans les sports et les sciences, et le Liceo MARYMOUNT, école bilingue spécialisée dans les sciences et les études classiques.

La coexistence des deux écoles catholiques dans le même bâtiment est désormais clairement indiquée à l'entrée de l'Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista.

L'ISGE terminera ses programmes au cours des quatre prochaines années, tandis que le Liceo MARYMOUNT a ouvert ses portes cette année.

Dès le début, ces deux écoles catholiques ont travaillé ensemble pour mieux se connaître et pour enrichir l'expérience de la coexistence pour tout le monde. La directrice de l'ISGE a rendu visite aux classes de Marymount pour souhaiter la bienvenue aux nouveaux élèves et le directeur de Marymount a visité les classes de l'ISGE pour se présenter et pour rencontrer les élèves.

Les deux écoles travaillent étroitement ensemble sur des projets communs dans les domaines religieux, éducatifs et sociaux.

La messe de rentrée pour les élèves, les enseignants et les parents des deux écoles a été célébrée le 26 septembre par le père mariste Antonio Airò sm.

Le père Antonio Airò a animé les réflexions de l'Avent pour les élèves des deux écoles et la messe de Noël, célébrée le 19 décembre dans la chapelle de l'ISGE, a rassemblé toute la communauté scolaire - élèves, parents, enseignants - dans une ambiance festive. Des élèves ont lu les prières universelles. Deux professeurs, un de chaque école, ont lu la liturgie de la Parole.

Il y a eu également bon nombre d'activités communes dans les domaines éducatifs et sociaux.

Un débat sur le harcèlement a eu lieu le 9 novembre dans la grande salle de l'ISGE en présence de M. Massimiliano Valeriani, vice-président de la région de Lazio.

Un autre jour, Paolo Valeri, un arbitre très célèbre de Serie A, est venu rencontrer les élèves des deux écoles. Les jeunes étaient ravis et lui ont posé beaucoup de questions.

Une réunion commune avec Alberto Mieli, survivant des camps de concentration nazis, s'est déroulée le 5 décembre. Les élèves ont écouté attentivement son histoire et lui ont posé de nombreuses questions. Ce fut une rencontre très émouvante et instructive.

Les professeurs d'éducation physique de l'ISGE et de Marymount organisent des compétitions sportives entre les deux écoles.

"TO CREATE UNITY THROUGH DIVERSITY" n'est pas simplement un slogan. C'est plutôt un vrai programme de croissance humaine, civile et chrétienne que les deux écoles se sont engagées à mettre en œuvre à partir de cette année scolaire.

C'est un chemin qui est riche en défis et en opportunités.

It was back in September 2017 that the cohabitation of two Catholic schools - the Liceo ISGE, which specialises in Sports and Science, and the bilingual Liceo MARYMOUNT, which specialises in Classical studies and Science - began.

At the entrance to the Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista, two name boards now proclaim that the two Catholic schools coexist in the same building.

The ISGE will complete its programmes of study over the next four years, whilst the bilingual Liceo MARYMOUNT has opened its courses this year.

From the outset, the two Catholic schools have worked together to get to know each other and to enhance the experience of coexistence for both schools. The headteacher of ISGE visited the Marymount classes in order to welcome the students and the Marymount headteacher visited the ISGE classes to introduce himself and to meet the ISGE students.

The two schools are working together closely on joint religious, educational and social projects.

The Mass to celebrate the beginning of the new school year for the students, teachers and parents of both Marymount and ISGE was held on September 26. The Mass was celebrated by the Marist Father Antonio Airò sm.

Fr. Antonio Airò led the students of both schools in Advent reflections that culminated, for the whole school community, in the Christmas Mass in the chapel of the Istituto San Giovanni Evangelista on 19 December, which brought the students, parents and teachers together in a festive atmosphere. Students read the prayers of the faithful, and the readings of the liturgy of the Word were given by two teachers, one from each school.

There have also been a number of joint educational and social events.

A meeting/debate on the subject of bullying was held on 9 November in the main hall of ISGE with the vice president of the Lazio Region, Massimiliano Valeriani.

On another occasion, Paolo Valeri, a well-known referee from Serie A, came to meet the students from both schools. The students were thrilled and asked him many questions.

On 5 December, there was a joint meeting with Alberto Mieli, a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps. The students listened to his story with great interest and asked him numerous questions. It was a very moving and informative meeting.

The physical education teachers of ISGE and MARYMOUNT are organizing sporting events between the two schools.

"TO CREATE UNITY THROUGH DIVERSITY" is not merely a slogan, but a real programme of human, civil and Christian growth that the two schools are committed to pursuing as of this school year.

It is a path full of challenges and opportunities.
