Chanel College. Ice Skating. Le Patinage

Recently, all 2nd years students with good behaviour records went on an ice-skating trip to Swords on Ice at the Pavilions. They were accompanied by their year head, form teachers and SNAs - many of whom took to the ice to show the lads how it was done!

Initially most people were a little hesitant, staying close to the edge or using the penguin, reindeer or seal skating aids. However, by the end of the session, lots were whizzing around showing off their moves and doing great twists and turns.

Thankfully there were no crashes or injuries, and everybody came home in one piece. Thanks to Mr Phelan for organising the trip in recognition of the great work and positive attitude of this group of students since September.

Récemment, tous les étudiants de 2e année ayant un comportement exemplaire ont fait un voyage de patinage sur glace à Swords on Ice au Pavilions. Ils étaient accompagnés de leur directeur d’année, de leurs professeurs et de SNA, dont beaucoup sont allés sur la glace pour montrer aux garçons comment cela s’est passé!

Au début, la plupart des gens étaient un peu hésitants, restaient près du bord ou utilisaient des aides au manchot, au renne ou au phoque. Cependant, à la fin de la session, de nombreux joueurs se sont manifestés pour montrer leurs mouvements et faire de grands rebondissements.

Heureusement, il n'y a pas eu d'accident ni de blessure, et tout le monde est rentré à la maison en un seul morceau. Merci à M. Phelan d'avoir organisé ce voyage en reconnaissance du travail remarquable et de l'attitude positive de ce groupe d'étudiants depuis septembre.
