ST MARY’S COLLEGE HIGHLY PRAISED BY OFSTED AFTER LATEST INSPECTION.
St Mary’s College were visited by inspectors from Ofsted and we were delighted that they recognised and praised the work we have been doing. This lead to a glowing report and a ‘GOOD’ rating.

The Ofsted report which was published on 2nd April 2019, states in a highly positive summary: “Governors, leaders, managers and staff have created an aspirational culture where staff and students work together. They provide a high-quality education which supports students to fulfil their potential.”

The report goes on to list a range of areas where
the college has improved significantly since its last inspection in May 2017.
These include:
“Students develop the knowledge and technical skills they need for further study.
Consequently, the vast majority progress into further study or higher education, often to prestigious universities”
“Students have a positive attitude to learning. They take pride in their work, and the proportion of students who achieve their qualification is high.”
“Students produce work of a good standard and meet or exceed the requirements of their programme”
St Mary’s Principal Jenny Singleton said: “All of the staff at St Mary’s are passionate about teaching and learning and I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised the huge strides that have been made in terms of driving up standards and creating a positive, inclusive and
happy learning environment”.
As the only Marist College in the United Kingdom we are immensely proud that our efforts have been recognised and that we can continue to serve the people of our area in the Marist way.

évaluation.
Le rapport Ofsted, publié le 2 avril 2019, indique de manière très positive
Résumé: «Les gouverneurs, les dirigeants, les gestionnaires et le personnel ont créé une culture d’aspiration où le personnel et les étudiants travaillent ensemble. Ils fournissent une éducation de haute qualité qui aide les étudiants à réaliser leur potentiel. "Le rapport énumère ensuite une série de domaines dans le collège s'est nettement amélioré depuis sa dernière inspection en mai 2017.
Ceux-ci inclus:
«Les étudiants développent les connaissances et les compétences techniques dont ils ont besoin pour poursuivre leurs études.

En conséquence, la grande majorité d'entre eux entrent dans des études supérieures ou supérieures, souvent universités prestigieuses ”
«Les étudiants ont une attitude positive envers l'apprentissage. Ils sont fiers de leur travail et de la proportion d’élèves ayant obtenu leur diplôme est élevée. "
«Les étudiants produisent un travail de qualité et répondent ou dépassent les exigences de leur programme"

Jenny Singleton, directrice de St Mary’s, a déclaré: «Tout le personnel de St Mary’s est passionné par l'enseignement et l'apprentissage et je suis ravi que Ofsted a reconnu l'énorme progrès réalisé en termes de renforcement des normes et de création d'un environnement d'apprentissage positif, inclusif et heureux.

En tant que seul collège mariste au Royaume-Uni, nous sommes extrêmement fiers que nos efforts aient été reconnus et que nous puissions continuer à servir les habitants de notre région à la manière mariste.
