The staff at St Mary’s College spent a wonderfully productive day looking at their mission as a Marist College at the Christian Heritage Centre in the grounds of Stonyhurst College.  

 

Les membres du personnel du St Mary’s College ont passé une journée merveilleusement productive à examiner leur mission en tant que collège mariste au Christian Heritage Center, sur le terrain du Stonyhurst College.
 

 

Fr. Justin Taylor S.M. made the journey over from New Zealand to talk about ‘Mary and Her Society in the Church and in the World’ and to also explore ‘Jean-Claude Colin’s theories on Education’.  The staff discussed how these principles are relevant to their day-to-day work and how the College could develop these further, continuing to improve the quality of the education of the whole person including morally, spiritually and academically. 
 

 

Fr. Justin Taylor S.M. fait le voyage depuis la Nouvelle-Zélande pour parler de «Marie et sa société dans l’Eglise et dans le monde» et aussi pour explorer «les théories de Jean-Claude Colin sur l’éducation». Les membres du personnel ont discuté de la pertinence de ces principes dans leur travail quotidien et de la manière dont l'Ordre pourrait les développer davantage, en continuant d'améliorer la qualité de l'éducation de toute la personne, y compris sur les plans moral, spirituel et scolaire.

 

We finished the day with a reflective liturgy which included the reading of the Wedding at Cana and a very thought-provoking homily from Fr Noel Wynn S.M., Superior of the Marists in Blackburn and a reading about the Annunciation to Mary which appears in the Qu’ran read in Arabic by one of our Muslim members of staff and then in English.
 

 

Nous avons terminé la journée par une liturgie réflexive comprenant la lecture du mariage à Cana et une homélie très stimulante du père Noel Wynn SM, supérieur des maristes à Blackburn, ainsi qu’une lecture sur l’Annonciation à Marie qui paraît dans le Qu ' lu en arabe par un membre de notre personnel musulman, puis en anglais.
