En Irlande, la responsabilité du patronage des écoles maristes est en train d'être transférée des religieux maristes aux responsables laïcs. La transmission des valeurs, des attitudes et des perspectives maristes est essentielle pour que cette transition se poursuive avec succès dans les années à venir.

In Ireland, responsibility for the patronage of Marist schools is in the process of being transferred from Marist religious to lay leadership. Passing on the Marist values, attitudes and perspectives is essential for this transition to successfully continue Marist patronage in the coming years.

In Irland wird die Verantwortung für das Patronat der Maristenschulen von den Ordensleuten der Maristen auf Laien übertragen. Die Weitergabe der maristischen Werte, Haltungen und Perspektiven ist für diesen Übergang von wesentlicher Bedeutung, um das maristische Patronat in den kommenden Jahren erfolgreich fortzuführen.

Diarmaid Ó Murchú, directeur général du Marist Education Authority Schools clg (MEAS) a suggéré que les nouveaux directeurs et affiliés du nouvel organisme de patronage passent quelques jours à La Neylière, la maison du patrimoine mariste, pour enrichir leur connaissance et leur compréhension du charisme et de l'esprit mariste dans la maison où repose Jean Claude Colin.  Dix directeurs et affiliés de cet organisme légal nouvellement formé en Irlande se sont réunis pendant trois jours à La Neylière pour explorer les origines et la spiritualité maristes et les mettre en relation avec le contexte éducatif de l'Irlande contemporaine. Malheureusement, au dernier moment, Diarmaid n'a pas pu voyager avec le groupe.

Diarmaid Ó Murchú executive officer of the Marist Education Authority Schools clg (MEAS) suggested that the new directors and affiliates of the new patronage body  spend a few days in La Neylière the Marist heritage house to enrich their knowledge and understanding of the Marist charism and spirit in the house where Jean Claude Colin is laid to rest.  Ten directors and affiliates of this newly formed legal body in Ireland gathered for three days in La Neylière to explore Marist origins and spirituality and to relate them to the education context in contemporary  Ireland. Unfortunately, at the last moment Diarmaid was unable to travel with the group.

Diarmaid Ó Murchú, Geschäftsführer der Marist Education Authority Schools clg (MEAS), schlug vor, dass die neuen Direktoren und Mitglieder des neuen Patronatsorgans einige Tage in La Neylière, dem Haus des maristischen Erbes, verbringen sollten, um ihr Wissen und ihr Verständnis des maristischen Charismas und Geistes in dem Haus, in dem Jean Claude Colin ruht, zu vertiefen.  Zehn Direktoren und Mitglieder dieser neu gegründeten juristischen Person in Irland kamen für drei Tage in La Neylière zusammen, um die Ursprünge und die Spiritualität der Maristen zu erforschen und sie mit dem Bildungskontext im heutigen Irland in Verbindung zu bringen. Leider war es Diarmaid im letzten Moment nicht möglich, mit der Gruppe zu reisen.

Les sessions ont été dirigées par le Père Martin McAnaney (président de MEAS). Le Père Larry Duffy, de Casa Maria, la maison de formation mariste à Rome, a parlé des origines et de l'inspiration de la congrégation mariste dans la première moitié du 19e siècle. Mary Forde, consultante en éducation pour le MEAS, a fait une présentation sur les rôles et les responsabilités des patrons et sur l'éthique mariste telle qu'elle est vécue dans les établissements scolaires en Irlande à l'heure actuelle. Ken Byrne a fait une présentation sur les responsabilités corporatives et légales du nouvel organisme et Frank Dowling a donné un aperçu des structures provinciales actuelles de l'éducation.  Le Père Martin McAnaney a présenté aux directeurs le projet de feuille de route pour l'avenir de nos établissements d'enseignement européens en 2050 !

The sessions thus were led by Fr Martin McAnaney (chair of MEAS). Fr Larry Duffy came from Casa Maria the Marist house of formation in Rome, spoke of the origins and inspiration for the Marist congregation in the first half of the 19^th century. Mary Forde, education consultant to the MEAS, gave a presentation on the roles and responsibilities of patrons and Marist ethos as it is lived in the education establishments in Ireland at present. Ken Byrne gave a presentation on the corporate and legal responsibilities of the new body and Frank Dowling gave an overview of the current provincial education structures.  Fr. Martin McAnaney gave the directors a presentation on the draft roadmap for the future of our European educational establishments in 2050!

Die Sitzungen wurden von Pater Martin McAnaney (Vorsitzender von MEAS) geleitet. Pater Larry Duffy kam vom Casa Maria, dem Ausbildungshaus der Maristen in Rom, und sprach über die Ursprünge und die Inspiration für die Maristenkongregation in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Mary Forde, Bildungsberaterin der MEAS, hielt einen Vortrag über die Rollen und Verantwortlichkeiten von Patronaten und das maristische Ethos, wie es derzeit in den Bildungseinrichtungen in Irland gelebt wird. Ken Byrne hielt einen Vortrag über die korporativen und rechtlichen Verantwortlichkeiten der neuen Einrichtung und Frank Dowling gab einen Überblick über die gegenwärtigen Bildungsstrukturen der Provinzen.  Pater Martin McAnaney stellte den Direktoren den Entwurf eines Fahrplans für die Zukunft unserer europäischen Bildungseinrichtungen im Jahr 2050 vor!

Naturellement, l'événement a été l'occasion d'honorer le Père Colin sur sa tombe, et la génération fondatrice à Belley, accueillie par Sr Teri O'Brien sm. 
Le dernier jour, nous nous sommes tous rendus à Lyon et au sanctuaire de Fourvière. Le Père Martin a célébré la messe dans la chapelle où les premières promesses ont été faites et les directeurs ont vu le cœur d'argent qui est conservé au sanctuaire et qui enregistre tous les Maristes qui sont partis en mission à l'étranger. 

Naturally, the event included an opportunity to honour Fr Colin at his tomb, and the founding generation at Belley hosted by Sr Teri O’Brien sm.

On the final day we all travelled to Lyon and the shrine of Fourvière. Fr Martin celebrated Mass in the chapel where the first promises were made and the directors viewed the silver heart which is kept at the shrine and which records all Marists who have gone overseas on missions abroad.

Natürlich gab es auch die Gelegenheit, Pater Colin an seinem Grab zu ehren, und die Gründergeneration in Belley auf Einladung von Schwester Teri O'Brien sm. 
Am letzten Tag reisten wir alle nach Lyon und zum Heiligtum von Fourvière. Pater Martin zelebrierte die Messe in der Kapelle, in der die ersten Versprechen abgelegt wurden, und die Direktoren sahen sich das silberne Herz an, das im Heiligtum aufbewahrt wird und in dem alle Maristen verzeichnet sind, die zu Missionen ins Ausland gegangen sind. 
 

L'hospitalité exceptionnelle de la communauté et du personnel de La Neylière a été la clé du succès de l'ensemble de l'événement. Le défi actuel, qui consiste à s'assurer que les intentions du fondateur restent au premier plan de la mission éducative, est entre de bonnes mains et est en bonne voie.

The exceptional hospitality of the La Neylière community and personnel was key to the success of the whole event. The current challenge to ensure that the founder’s intentions continue to be front, and centre of the education mission is in good hands and is well underway.

Die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft der Gemeinschaft und des Personals von La Neylière war der Schlüssel zum Erfolg der gesamten Veranstaltung. Die gegenwärtige Herausforderung, sicherzustellen, dass die Absichten des Gründers weiterhin im Vordergrund des Bildungsauftrags stehen, ist in guten Händen und auf gutem Wege.
