Sainte-Marie Lyon en partenariat avec des Maristes de Salamanque /..../ Sainte-Marie Lyon in partnership with Marists in Salamanca

Nous sommes bénis de faire partie d'une grande famille mariste. C'est le constat de tous après le nouvel échange scolaire mis en place entre les français de Sainte-Marie Lyon, site de la Verpillière, et les espagnols du Colegio Champagnat de Salamanque.

Cette année, vingt-cinq élèves de troisième de chaque école ont pu passer deux semaines très appréciées ensemble: d'abord en Mars 2012, lors de l'accueil des Salamanquiens à la Verpillière, puis le mois suivant, au voyage retour en Espagne. Hormis les découvertes culturelles incontournables et un approfondissement linguistique remarquable, les élèves ont eu l'occasion de réfléchir sur nos fondateurs: les Pères maristes pour Sainte-Marie Lyon, les Frères maristes pour le Colegio Champagnat.

Grâce à la réussite de cet échange qui se poursuivra en 2012/2013, d'autres projets entre nos deux établissements verront le jour à la rentrée prochaine: deux semaines d'immersion (scolarisation "normale" dans l'établissement partenaire) pour quelques élèves de seconde; un blog sur le thème d'"Etre Mariste aujourd'hui" dans le cadre de l'enseignement religieux du niveau 3°.

Que notre partenariat puisse continuer à bénir élèves et professeurs!

We are truly blessed to be part of a big Marist family. This has been proved by the students exchange launched this year between a French school, Sainte-Marie Lyon (the La Verpillière campus), and a Spanish school, the Colegio Champagnat in Salamanca.

Twenty-five 4th Form students (fifteen years old) from each school thoroughly enjoyed the total of two weeks spent together, firstly in March 2012 when the Salamancans were hosted at La Verpillière, and then on the return trip to Salamanca the following month. Apart from benefitting from the wealth of culture and the wonderful chance to improve language skills, the students were also able to reflect on our different Marist founders: the Fathers for Sainte-Marie Lyon and the Brothers for the Colegio Champagnat.

Thanks to this highly successful exchange which will continue in 2012/2013, two other projects will be launched as soon as September 2012. Firstly, there will be a two-week immersion (studying like any other student in the partner school) for a few lucky 5th Form students. And secondly, a blog will be set up on the theme of "Being a Marist today" as part of the 4th Form Religious Education course.
