Visite du Provincial Européen des pères maristes au Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell /..../ Provincial of the European Marist Fathers visits Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell

Le 3 mai, le père Provincial Hubert Bonnet-Eymard, haut responsable de tous les Pères Maristes en Europe, a rendu visite au Maristengymnasium de Fürstenzell, accompagné par la Promotrice de l’Éducation de la Province Mme Dominique Villebrun. Ils voulaient avoir une impression plus détaillée de l’établissement.

Le point central de la journée fut un entretien avec les directeurs de l’école et les professeurs responsables des programmes d’échange, dans le but de promouvoir  le réseau européen des écoles maristes. 

Il y avait déjà eu – à quelques années de distance – des rencontres de représentants des écoles en vue de renforcer le sentiment de collégialité entre eux, tout en travaillant sur l’héritage mariste, sur la particularité de l’éthique mariste et sur la manière de les imposer dans les établissements.

Ce sont ces mêmes raisons qui ont amené le Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell à lancer des programmes d’échange avec les écoles maristes de Toulon (France), Malgrat de Mar (Espagne) et de Dundalk (Irlande).

Au niveau mondial, le programme d’échange avec la Marist School d' Atlanta (Etats-Unis) contribue aussi à cette perspective. Il est d'ailleurs prévu que la prochaine rencontre des écoles maristes européennes ait lieu à Passau en 2012.

Hubert Bonnet Eymard a profité de cette visite pour parler aux enseignants pendant une récréation prolongée, à la suite de quoi le directeur lui a fait découvrir l’établissement et quelques classes.

Le président de l’arrondissement avait souhaité que P. Hubert Bonnet-Eymard, Mme Villebrun, le Supérieur Régional Alois Greiler et le Directeur Dr. Roland Feucht soient ses invités le soir même . Le Prieur Hans Striedl était également présent à la sous-préfecture en  tant que représentant de l’Évêque W. Schraml.

Le président de l’arrondissement et le prieur Striedl ont vivement remercié le père Provincial, mentionnant surtout l’engagement extraordinaire des Maristes dans la ville, l’arrondissement et la diocèse. Ils ont souligné l’éducation exceptionnelle du Maristengymnasium.

La soirée s'est achevée par la signature par tous du livre d’or de Passau.

On May 3rd, Father Hubert Bonnet-Eymard, the highest-ranking man in charge of the European Marist Fathers, went to see the Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell, together with Mrs Dominique Villebrun,  the Education Promoter for the Province. They wanted to get a personal impression of the institution.

At the centre of the talks held on this day, there were a long exchange with the head teachers as well as the teachers responsible for the pupils' exchange programmes, in order to find a way to expand a European network of Marist schools.

For quite some time representatives of the single schools have had meetings at a distance of some years, in order to strengthen the sense of togetherness, but first and foremost to work on the Marist legacy and the special Marist ethic, and to find ways to incorporate these ideas into school life.

It is also for this reason that the Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell has got school exchange programmes with the Marist schools in Toulon (France), Malgrat de Mar (Spain) and Dundalk (Republic of Ireland).

In a broader sense, the exchange programme with Marist School in Atlanta/ United States also contributes to this project, of course. As far as planning has been made, the next European Marist Schools Forum will be held in Passau in 2012.

Father Hubert took the chance and spoke to the teachers during an extended break and was then shown the school building and some classes.

It was the district chief executive's personal wish to meet with Father Hubert Bonnet-Eymard and Mrs Dominique Villebrun, Regional Superior Father Aloïs Greiler and Principal Dr. Roland Feucht in the evening of the same day at the district office, where they were also welcomed by Provost Hans Striedl, on behalf of Diocesan Bishop W.Schraml. The district chief executive Franz Meyer as well as Provost Striedl addressed the VIP guest in short speeches, and thanked him for the Marists' extraordinary involvement in the city, the district and the diocese. They put a special emphasis on the education and schooling work done by the Maristengymnasium. The evening culminated in the guests' signing the city visitor's book.
