Bonjour Inde ! /.../ Hello India!

L'Institution Sainte Marie a fêté la venue des Pondichériens.

Vendredi 13 mai 2016 s'est tenu à l'Institution Sainte Marie à la Seyne-sur-Mer un dîner festif aux couleurs de l'Inde. Cet évènement a conclu le séjour de jeunes Indiens, reçus dans le cadre d'un échange scolaire et culturel.

Ce sont près de 90 convives qui ont participé au repas et à l'animation. Parents, élèves, professeurs, chef d'établissement et directeur du lycée ont partagé un repas indien et découvert un extrait du répertoire des chants indiens.

Cynthia, Jayasri, Yogeshver, Sriram, Annamalain, 2 jeunes filles et 3 garçons, ont terminé sur l'hymne indien qui a suscité curiosité et émotion auprès du public. Les lycéens français se sont également beaucoup investis dans le service et l'animation de cette soirée organisée par Madame Christine Vella, initiatrice et porteuse du projet. Cette professeure de sciences économique et sociale, très investie dans son métier et auprès de ses élèves, était très émue quand les élèves, les parents et la communauté éducative l'ont remerciée pour son engagement par des applaudissements nourris.

The Institution Sainte Marie celebrates their visitors from Pondicherry

A festive dinner with an Indian theme was held at the Institution Sainte Marie in La Seyne-sur-Mer on Friday 13 May 2016. This event brought to a close the visit made by young Indians in the context of an educational and cultural exchange.

There were almost 90 guests who came to the dinner and took part in the entertainment. Parents, students, teachers, the headteacher and the director of the sixth form shared an Indian meal and discovered a number of Indian songs.

Cynthia, Jayasri, Yogeshver, Sriram, Annamalain, 2 girls and 3 boys, sang as a finale the Indian national anthem, which greatly moved the audience. The French students also put a great deal into the evening, which was organised by Mrs Christine Vella, who had initiated and led the project. Mrs Vella is a teacher of social and economic sciences. She is highly committed to her profession and to her students and was very moved when the students, the parents and the educational community thanked her for her commitment with sustained applause.
